errors in integral values

I hate to sound like an idiot, but is there a known standard way to report
errors in integration values? I can think of a few ways it might be done;
for example one could integrate an equivalent range of the baseline in
various regions of noise and use the range of values obtained to estimate
the error. If there is a standard acceptable way to do this, I would
appreciate hearing about it. If I get any good responses, and it turns out
not to be something I should have known about, I will be sure to let the
group know.
