cracked NMR tubes

In the last month we have had two NMR tubes break either during or just
after an experiment. This has happened on two different magnets and we were
not ejecting or spinning the samples.
Our best guess so far is that this could be due to short bursts in our
compressed air lifting the sample slightly. Does anyone know of an
instrument that will record the air pressure vs time?

Also has anyone seen anything like this in their laboratory?
