This will work if the HP-Laser printer is directly connected to the
instrument; however, when using the "JetDirect" card, with the LaserJet
setup as an LPR server, you can still have problems, in that the extra
page may still print. On my Suns, I have to add the following entry at
the end of my printcap file: tr=\004:
This is a job-termination character, which also allows the LaserJet to
switch between modes (like TCP/IP <-> Appletalk) more efficiently.
This is under the older Sun-OS 4.1.3, so I don't know if any of this
applies to Solaris.
