1280 problem

I have been driven to the edge by problems loading software on an
old GN300. The problem was that kbmgen would freeze after looking at the
DGIO clock. The solution supplied by Scott Tarran of Bruker is: at the
NICOS prompt you type "4 >> 54" (CR), then "date" (CR). Now I am able to
run kbmgen again. Whew!
