i am a part-time researcher/part-time lab manager with the department of
radiology at the university of washington. we have several magnets here,
most of which are horizontal bore instruments for in vivo work (1.5 T ge
signa, 2 T bruker (ge, 1280) and 4.7 T bruker (ge, omega)), but also have
one high-res 7 T bruker (ge, omega). the lab concentrates less on NMR
development than NMR use to probe questions in, e.g. muscle energetics and
cancer biochemistry. as such, i get to implement pulse sequences +/-
shaped pulses for experiments ranging from simple pulse-acquire stuff to
some spiffier multiple quantum imaging things. i figured to join this
email list to evesdrop (sp?) on your communications in a more active sense
than the passing perusal of the archives.
this more active thing brings me to my next point:
we have an instrument which we would like to sell:
a 2 T Bruker (originally sold by GE) CSI-II system. this is the old
1280-based console, but the gradients have been upgraded with an Accustar
shielded gradient set (~15 G/cm). the sytem is fully heteronuclear
capable with up to 1 kW transmitter power. an independent decoupler
channel is available providing up to 100 W for transmit and hardware
support for broadband modulation. we are willing to sell the entire
system (+ some spare parts, e.g. xtra 1280 CPU, disk drives, etc) or
perhaps components (e.g. the magnet, gradients, techrons, etc). the
system is fully functional as is for imaging and spectroscopy. there are
upgrade consoles available to facilitate hardware control and
implementation of more demanding imaging sequences, e.g. echo planar.
