NMR Facility Technician Job Opening

The following article describes a technical position currently open
within the Purdue University Chemistry Department NMR Facility
(West Lafayette campus). Distribution to prospective applicants who

NMR Facility Technician

Purdue University is seeking applicants with an Associates Degree in
Chemistry or a related Physical Science, prior chemistry lab
coursework or lab experience, and familiarity with at least one modern
computer operating system and word processor. The ability to teach
people from a variety of scientific and geographical backgrounds as
well as demonstrable excellence in oral and written communication
skills are essential. Responsibilities include cryogen maintenance,
weekly NMR instrument performance testing, and instructing students
and staff in basic NMR spectrometer operation.
