AMMRLers,

As the caretaker of the AMMRL Hardware List, I thought it was about time
that I do the following:

(1) remind current contributors of its existence, and, in an effort to
keep it up-to-date, request any amendments to existing entries.
Amendments would be in order if you have new equipment, have sold some
of the equipment you listed, or have a change of personal information
(phone, e-mail address, etc).

(2) ask new or non-participating AMMRL members for their participation.

(3) give current participants the opportunity to have their contribution
deleted before the list is circulated again.

Here is a refresher on the list...

The hardware list is available to contributors only (nothing ventured,
nothing gained) and is expressly not to be given to salespeople (although
some vendors have gotten in the back door with their applabs - an issue
that sparked considerable controversy).

By searching through a copy of the list (it has been edited it to make it
devoid of tabs and consistent as far as instrument name goes: e.g. xl-200
becomes XL200), one should be able to locate other MR labs that may have
the same equipment as you or that may have equipment you are thinking of
buying. In this way I have already found it to be useful.

The list currently has 93 MR labs (about 25% of all AMMRL members)
contributing information on 228 spectrometers.

If you want to find out more about the list, just send me an e-mail and
I will reply with a message telling you more and describing how to format
your contribution, etc, etc.

I look forward to hearing from you all (although not all at once, since
400+ messages would pretty well swamp me).
