I actually ordered one of those things from Pinnacle, but, after waiting
many months for defivery, I gave up and ordered a CD-R.

I also prefer optical media for archiving because of their tolerance of
magnetic fields, and because they are said to be good for 30+ years. I have
had mag tapes and floppies that have been around for four or five years
that gave read errors. I have not had any such problems with MO's that have
been around a long time. This is consistent with what the experts say about
such media.

Everybody has to choose their own poison, I guess.
