The recent discussion re powerconditioners prompts this note. We have all
our instruments on conditioners. Last week however, the power was
intermittant due to lightening 4 out of 5 days usually at 5 or 6pm. This
bombed all of my overnite runs and taxed my sense of humor. We are
planning to buy a cheap UPS just to run the host IPX on a Unity+. I know
that the console will go down, but hopefully Unix will not. Does anyone
have experience with this kind of half UPS? Does it work? Cheers, Lew
