To anyone who can help:
=======================

Dear Shaw:

I have an opening for a postdoctoral position in my laboratory, and would like
to ask you to bring this to the attention of anyone who may be interested in
this position.

The funding of the postdoctoral position will come from pooling two or three
resources, and the duty includes: (1) NMR study of liquid crystals; (2) surface
modification of alumina and solid-state NMR study of the products; (3) perhaps
another project dealing with NMR and other studies of surfactants.

There are three Varian spectrometers (XL-300, VXR-500, and Inova-400) in our
department, and my research group gets plenty of spectrometer time. The
projects will involve applications of existing NMR techniques as well as the
development of new methodology. A good person can be very productive in my
group.

The candidate should have a sound background and good practical skills in NMR
spectroscopy, as well as good working habits. Experience in "wet" chemistry
including organic synthesis will be helpful, but is not a necessity. The person
who fills this position can start any time, but hopefully no later than mid
September. Your help in bringing this opportunity to his/her attention will be
very much appreciated.

Yours sincerely,

Bing
