The Biomedical NMR Laboratory, Department of Radiology at the Howard University
invites applications for two research associate positions in NMR.
Areas of research interests:
(1) in vivo drug metabolism, pharmacokinetics, water movement in plants, micro-
imaging of materials.
(2) probe design using high temperature superconductor material, spectroscopy
study of breast tumor cells and in vivo animal model.
Applicants:
recent Ph.D. degree and extensive research training in NMR
strong skills in computer
(1) familiar with pulse sequence programming, in vivo localized spectroscopy, fast
imaging, flow imaging, micro-imaging, and back-projection techniques.
(2) familiar with NMR probe design, cryogenics, high temperature
superconductor, cell culture and animal tumor model.

Varian 200 MHz/33 cm imaging/spectroscopy machine
Tecmag console, 300 MHz/89 mm micro-imaging machine
Picker 1.5 T whole body machine
SPARC workstations, Mac, IBM PC
