We have been very sucessful with ceramic tip pentel type
pens from CAD-ONE (800-232-3335):
CXP-E4 Black, 0.25 mm tip
CXP-E2 Red, 0.25 mm tip
CXP-E3 Blue, 0.25 mm tip
CXP-E1 Green, 0.25 mm tip
CXP-ES1 assorted colors, 0.25 mm tip
The 0.35 tip works as well, but 0.25 looks better.

This type requires an adapter : AX-HP. They also have an equivalent
which does not require an adapter.

If 11x17 is the object, the HP 4-MV Laser printer
(I think that the non postscript version HP 4V does this size as well)
would be the printer of choice.
It is fairly fast and does 11x17. If color as well as size is
the need, then the 7550A is thus far IMHO the best choice,
although HP doesnt make it anymore. (MR Resources sells used
models)
