We are going add another hard disk drive (to the X-32) of our
AMX-600 spectrometer in order to satisfy an ever-increasing user
demand for file space. I'm looking for recommendations or comments
on serveral we're considering. Two "Bruker-supported" drives
include: Hewlett-Packard model # C2247
and Hewlett-Packard model # 97549T10.
Any information regarding the installation, performance and
reliability of these drives would be very helpful to us.

A cheaper, alternative hard drive (but "Bruker-unsupported") is
the Seagate Barracuda (2.4 Gb), which gives much more "byte/buck".
Again we'd be happy to receive some input about experiences with
this drive.

Best regards,

...Jim Alderfer
