This is a request from those who have recently bought NMR instrumentation to
privately communicate your thoughts, as to their pros and cons, to us here
at Alcon. We are in the market for a 500 or 600 MHz instrument for early
next year. Currently, we have a Jeol GX-270 and Varian VXR-200. We are
open to Bruker, Jeol, and Varian. Your confidential comments would be
greatly appreciated; in particular, on, hardware reliability, software
learning curve, computer integration, sample turnaround performance, access
to quick service response, and anything else you feel important to consider.
