I would say using X-windows with the Sparc as the client is a
productive, safe way to proceed. Steve's response only reinforces our
positive experience with having many remote users access VNMR from a
central location.
You must budget for UNIX system administration resources, some X-server
technical support and must be certain your ethernet
architecture/bandwidth can handle the job. Once these resources have
been allocated your user base will really benefit.
X-terminals are also very cost effective devices and nicely meet the
needs of NMR data processing/analysis.
