Currently I'm looking for a post-doc who would like to work with me for two
years (financed by the Dutch Research Council, starting between August and
December this year) on a project in transition metal NMR, probably Rh NMR with
the aim to find a more quantitative basis for the chemical shift of metal nuclei
in dependence of their surrounding ligands. The work will involve synthesis,
which will be assisted by a technicien from our institute, inverse NMR
spectroscopy and some ligand field/QM calculations.
Candidates should have a background in physical and/or organometallic chemistry
and relevant experience in NMR spectroscopy. Experience with or positive
attitude towards doing some ligand field/quantummechanical calculations would be
an additional strong asset to undertake the project.
