The complete sources for a 1D NMR processing package, tefid, is now
available via anonymous ftp. This package will directly read Omega, QE
and GN one-dimensional NMR files and process and (PostScript) plot
them. We have used tefid here at the Center and have become quite
dependant on it. It has very nice PostScript output with numerous
features including parameter display, and peak-listings and integrals.
It also has one of the best baseline correction routines we have ever
used.

The program requires OpenWindows (Version 2) and has been sucessfully
compiled on SunOS versions 4.0.3e (the Omega OS) and 4.1.2.

You can get tefid by anonymous ftp from aries.scs.uiuc.edu. Retrieve
the file /tefid/tefid.tar.Z, move it to an empty directory. Then
uncompress the file with the command "uncompress tefid.tar.Z". Extract
all source files with the command "tar xvf tefid.tar". After all
source files have been extracted from the archive, look at the README
file for instructions on how to build the executable and install it on
your system.
