I would appreciate it if someone would kindly share his/her user
management program running on Varian Sun-based spectrometer, or
any suggestion how to account usage of spectrometer (console login
only).

We are converting our old XL/VXR systems into Sun-based ones for a
large number of students. We used to use Silber's program provided
by Varian to record billing/login information.
