Hi All,
I have been lurking in the background for a couple of months. We
used to have a JEOL GX-400 NMr Spectrometer (Next week it will become a
Varian Unity Plus). The computer was extremely slow so we dumped the
data to the Center's Vax comuter. Unfortunately, none of the PC programs
for offline data analysis could 'read' this data properly. The Center's
computer Guru wrote a program to convert JEOL data to Felix Unix format.
We evaluated both Felix and Acorn NMR's Nuts-2D and chose the latter
program for our offline data anlysis.
The NUTS-2D program is a Windos-NT program and it runs very
well on a 486-DX PC. Unfortunately in our Center we have some unenlightened
people who insist on using MACs. Several have bought power MACs that can
run both DOS and Windows. Unfortunately they need the 386 enhanced version
of Windows and this product has been delayed by Micro-Soft (Te people
who promised us Chicago (Windows 95) last year). We are not convinced tha
NUTS-2D will run under this verion of Windows.
NUTS-2D will run under this verion of Windows. So is there a program that
runs on a MAC that will handle 1-D like NUTS-2d or Felix? You can e-mail
me directly.
Thanks in advance for your assistance. I apologize for all the
grammer errors and spelling mistakes. It is early and I have had only
one cup of coffee this morning.
