Hello All:
A 750 magnet will be installed here in 6 weeks or so, and we have been
told to expect to use 1200-1500 liters of LHe during installation.
I was wondering if anyone out there has already had a 750 installed and
can tell me:
-Does it really take that much?
-How much LHe is used before LHe begins to collect in the cryostat (i.e.
how much LHe is blown out just cooling down).
-Are there any known LHe suppliers who would give a price break for this
large of an order? (Our campus liquifier has agreed to supply this much LHe,
but no price break).
I don't expect a lot of responses, but if anyone can give me any information,
I would be very grateful.
