PMX60 - spinner problems

Our organic chemistry friends have a fairly modern 60 MHz Jeol
instrument for routine screening of compounds, it is a PMX60Si.

They keep complaining about poor spinning, (un)fortunately I know
nothing about these things so can anyone give me any hints or tips? The
head of organic chemistry here seems to remember a modification that has
been made by people at his previous site.

Thanks,

Graham
