rural remote VNMR logon

Dear All;

If anyone out there is using Varian systems (we have a Unity300+) in a rural
setting and knows what hardware/software (i.e. modem, modem telephone line,
networking software, etc.) would be required to login to the system from
a remote site (also using a modem and software, i.e. EXODUS), I would really
welcome your suggestions and advice and how best to set up such a connection.
