I would also like to add my appreciation for this posting on VT air problems
and solutions on Bruker systems. I hated doing VT work for the reasons which
you discussed. I found that engineers don't want to test VT units when they
install systems due to time and scheduling constraints. It is left to the
customer to checkout the unit. A fast solution to the VT air problem in AF
and AC series is to disconnect the injection air from the upper barrel. This
would allow the sample to spin properly. But if long term or frequent VT
runs are always in need, I think your solutions are the best I've heard.
