Hi,

I understand you are a very helpful and knowledgeable group. I'm wondering if
you can help me choose a good "workhorse" tunable or multinuclear FT-nmr for
the proposal I'm writing to nsf. We are a small career-oriented lib arts
college with mostly students of modest capability. We hope to have them handle
the instrument at least in our instrumental and PChem courses but perhaps some
also in organic.

We want it for use in undergraduate labs of 3 hr duration so we would need to
be able to complete an expt in 1-3 lab periods (and of course they will analyze
data outside lab).

What model of 200 MHz from what company would be best?

Have any of you seen a biochemistry expt that students of modest talent can do
in something of 3-9 lab hrs....that they could interpret and that they couldn't
do on a CW instrument.

Thanks and Cheers to all!
