WE've had an FTS XR-85-1 attached to a WM/VXR-300 for 12 years.
The FTS hose is attached to the magnet stand with an aluminum
clamp which allows us to slide it in and out when connecting
to probes. We connect the FTS hose to the probe with a 6" piece
of tygon with armaflex around the tygon to reduce condensation.
Vibrations don't seem to be transmitted from the compressor
through the hoses. We wish that every magnet had one of these
because they are easy to use. With high air flow we can reach
-60 at the sample with the VXR-300. The only problem we've had
is that after ~3days of continuous use (depends on air flow) the
fts hose develops an ice block because our "dry" air has a
dew point of -40.
