Battery for Omega CJ coldjunction on Unity's

I've seen more coments regarding these battries, so I guess I'll add my two
cents worth as well.

1. Omega sells (or at least they did back about January or February when I
last bought from them) for somewhere between $3 and $5 each a "conditioned"
battery, their catalog code CJ-BATT. This is a 1.4 V battery drained to
give 1.35 V. My experience with these is that they last at best about 3 to
4 months in the cold junction. The cold junction does not present very
much current drain.

2. Upon reading the second message from Herb Schwartz, I immediately
emailed Phil Louthan at Varian. He called me and immediately arranged to
send me two of Varian's battery replacement power supplies which I hope to
shortly install. Phil can be rached as phil.louthan@nmr.varian.com

That's all folks!

Sincerely,

Bruce D. Ray
