I wrote in a few weeks ago about a problem I was having trying to use
zznet to tranfer files from my Aspect 3000 on the Bruker 250 NMR to a pc. I
was getting error messages, including a message saying the hard drive on
the pc was full (which it wasn't). Many people responded with problems they
had had and possible solutions.
From the advice I received I decided to try shortening my cable
connecting the two computers. And it worked! I'm now able to tranfer files
with no problem. The interesting thing is that earlier one of the things I
did was send my cable and converter box to Univ of Kansas to have them
check it out on their system. It worked fine there. Note: my cable was
originally about 4.5 ft of good, double sheilded cable connected from the
pc to a box with the inverter chips. From there a 1 ft single shielded
cable connected to the Aspect. I took 1.5 ft off the longer cable and this
solved my problem.
Thank you very much to all the people who reponded to my plea with
their suggestions.
