I would also say that for those of you using desk top machines which are PCs or
Macs attached to the net, there are very good freeware gopher clients. The best
Mac client is Turbogopher and the best PC client depends on DOS vs Windows.
Since I dislike religious arguments I'll stay out of that. You could also use
Mosaic, but I think that's actually a hard way to do gopher (at least at this
time.)
