1) Avoid LaserJet 4's - they require a bidirectional parallel port
(which Bruker does not support) and their configuration options for
the serial port is limited.
2) A LaserJet III with a Pacific Data "plotter in a cartridge" works
much the same as an HP-7475 (Bruker logo is messed up do to lack of a
"Local Origin" command in its command set). Only supports 8.5x11
format. Qume apparently makes a laser that supports 11x17 and an
analogous cartridge but it has apparently not yet been tried on an
ASPECT.
3) Bruker plans to release a new version of DISNMR in the "near"
future which will support Kyocera F5500 Laserprinter and the Canon BJ-
300 bubble jet printer. They will be driven through a serial to
parallel converter. I don't know if either can handle the 11x17
format.
4) Some people have circumvented the problem by placing a PC
between the ASPECT and the laserprinter and performing a slight
translation in the PC.
