I just received an urgent fax from the American Chemical Society's
Department of Government Relations and Science Policy asking that members
like you contact their Representatives and Senators quickly urging
support for NSF. The Conference Committee that will determine final funding
levels is about to meet and the situation that obtainsis that the Senate
funding levels are much higher than those in the House bill. Please ask
your congressional representatives to lean on the conferees.
