Bruker demonstrates and delivers Silicon Graphics computer
systems as front ends to the AMX/ARX/ASX and DMX/DRX lines of
spectrometers.
Among others, there is an ARX 400 equipped with a dual Ethernet
Indigo in the demo lab at Spectrospin Switzerland, capable of
running all the experiments that are currently possible with
an ASPECTstation. The operation of the spectrometer from the
Silicon Graphics or from an alternatively attached ASPECTstation
is identical.

The new spectrometer lines are based on a portable, modular
client-server architecture, where the hardware client- server
connection uses Ethernet and the software connection is done
via TCP/IP.
TCP/IP-Ethernet is the most "standard" soft- and hardware
interface currently available because it includes a high level
*software-* and hardware protocol.

Because of the client server architecture of these new
spectrometers, Bruker is not bound to its own, or Silicon Graphics,
or Sun or any other computer as a spectrometer client (front end),
but may choose the system optimally suited for NMR instrumentation.
Using these new Bruker spectrometers you can expect to easily profit
from new developments in network technology and computer systems.
