I have no problem with any of this; however, when I start seeing phrases like
"he posted this", or "would someone post that", I feel that we are
beginning to confuse the purpose of an E-Mail list with that of a
USENET news group. I am perfectly happy to be involved in an E-Mail
distribution system like AMMRL, but this has begun to degenerate into
what I see on network news (on the rare occasion when I have time to
read any of that "information").

IMHO, an E-Mail distribution list is not the place for "threads" such as
the one started by Shaw's note. I can see people sending replys to he
who asked for it, and then Shaw could mail a summary to AMMRL, but having
everyone mail their every thought to the entire group causes lots-o-clutter
in my E-Mail box! If enough of y'all out there enjoy this stuff, you could
easily start a misc.NMR.banter newsgroup! :-)
