Dear Peter and John,

I also have used eXodus for a long time, but White Pine seems to have
undergone a couple of mergers. I couldn't find eXodus among their products
anymore when I looked today. eXodus seems to belong to a company called
Powerlan. Find them at:

    http://www.powerlan-usa.com/exodus/

eXodus works pretty well, but not perfectly, with CDE and VNMR on a Sun using
a Mac as the X-server. Powerlan seems to have big plans for continued
development of eXodus. I have done exactly what John is describing with a G3
Powerbook, and it works okay.

I have also been experimenting with a program called Xtools from Tennon that
runs under MacOS X, but I haven't gotten far enough to say anything definite.

For PC's Hummingbird Exceed works quite well. We use it routinely.

Dear John,

I have eXodus PowerPC (www.wpine.com) on my 400 MHz PPC G4, mainly
intended to run processing software on an SGI O2 remotely. It works fine,
but I don't really use it all that much. After all I prefer to walk over
to the O2 instead...

Just my 2 oere.
