I'd like to bring to your attention a staff opening for an NMR
spectroscopist in the Chemistry Dept., University of California,
Davis (the ad will also appear in C&E News).
The department is home to 4 narrow bore, shared, multi-user NMR
spectrometers (an Inova dual-channel 400 MHz, Mercury 300 and two QE
300's). We are in the process of acquiring funding to purchase a 600
MHz NMR spectrometer to meet the expanding needs of faculty research
programs. The successful candidate will be expected to engage in
collaborative research programs with faculty and maintain
professional interests.

The Department of Chemistry at the University of California, Davis is
recruiting for a NMR Spectroscopist-Specialist. Requirements: Ph.D
with 5 years of NMR research experience in Chemistry, Physics,
Biochemistry or related field; excellent communication and
interpersonal skills; pulse programming and implementation of
pulsed-FT experiments. Computer networking and Unix-based
instrumentation skills are highly desirable. Responsibilities
include working with staff spectroscopists and others on operation,
maintenance, and calibration of NMR instrumentation training and
educating. Assistance with acquisitions, upgrades and administrative
duties are also desirable. Salary: $60k to $65K plus benefit. Send
