Dear All:It has been a few weeks since my life has been normal because I
upgraded my host IPX on my u+500 to Solaris 2.6 (all patches by a Unix
person) and loaded vnmr6.1A. I ran the system about 3 weeks without too
much grief, then put in the 6.1A patches, all101, uni101 and 102. (I had a
Shaka pfgsenoe sequence which wouldn't time average, hence the patches).
After the patches, windows would stop working and students would
get the queue filled with crap and they kept on clicking away etc. I had
to do a 'hard' stop last Friday and that messed things up.
I am trying again with 6.1A. Although some Faculty want 5.3B back.
Does anyone have an IPX running 5.6 and 6.1A sucessfully? I have
32mb on ram and 1.8G drive. Data is remotely mounted.
Thanks in advance, Lew
