AMMRL: Win32 error with Topspin

Hi folks,
We are experiencing intermittent issues with starting Topspin (3.5pl3 and TS3.6) on AVIII systems.
The error messages include:
Killing previous session module with pid ...
Terminate Process (same PID) failed with Win32 Error
Then ends with
                .../curdir/nmrsu/msg.cpr: Access is denied

Closing the window and trying again doesn't help. Logoff/logon with a different account doesn't always work. Neither does rebooting the PC (thinking there is some orphaned process).

There haven't been any major (intentional) changes on the spectrometers or the PC (other than a couple Windows updates that required a reboot).

Has anyone else seen this or is it limited to my "creative" users trying something new?

Thanks,
Marc
