Hi All Spin Wizards

Just wondering, if any of you happen to have a B-CN60 or B-CN70
magnet power supply lying around that you seek a new home for.  I know
this is a precious resource if you are still caring for older magnets
like mine but just in case, I am trying to tap into your exemplary
generosity !   My only power supply is sick and I am trying to fix it in
house and I couldn't find anything in ebay for sale.

I have an old 500 Oxford magnet that is waiting to be euthanized.
Push comes to shove, the immediate need for me is to open the supercon
switch of the main coil so that the current can drain via the diodes of
the current leads. I have all the sundry stuff such as the charging rod,
cables, etc.    I am toying with the idea that I can hack into the power
supply (if it cannot be fully revived) and provide the +5V DC (I think
!) for the main coil switch and see if that does the trick. I am sure
some of you veterans have done this sort of thing.  If so, I humbly
solicit your blessing and a tip or two.

Best Regards to all

Rajan
