AMMRL: Odd Bruker plot bug

Hi all,

In setting up a plot layout for a 2D INADEQUATE experiment I have found
an odd bug/feature.

This happens for me in Irix XwinNMR 3.5pl6/XwinPlot 3.5pl2, Linux
TopSpin32.pl6, and Windows TopSpin3.5pl5.

I started with a 2D layout with axes on both dimensions in ppm, and with
the full 2D spectrum on screen. The Y-axis is labeled something like
-125 to -15 ppm.

Next I changed the units of the Y-axis to Hz. The display is now
something like -16000 to -2000 Hz.

Happy with this, I saved the layout.

Now if I reopen the plot editor in TopSpin or XwinPlot, using the newly
saved layout, the spectrum window is blank. The Y-axis is still in Hz,
but is now showing the ppm number range, ie -125 to -15 Hz, where there
is no data!

Resetting the display to the full spectrum fixes this with the TopSpin
button, but I haven't found an easy way in XwinPlot to do this.

One slight difference between the plot tab in TopSpin and the external
editors is that in the tab, just saving the layout is enough to change
the Hz region and lose the data!

Is this a general bug or have I just got lucky?

Regards,

Phil.
