Dear AMMRL,
On behalf of Prof. Bruce Yu, I am asking if you could post the following
job announcement? Thank you.

=================================
Postdoctoral Position in Biologics NMR at the
University of Maryland Baltimore
Postdoctoral position opening: joint project between UMB and MedImmune
A postdoctoral position is open at the University of Maryland Baltimore
for a joint project between UMB and MedImmune
Project description: Protein aggregation in biologics has the potential
to adversely impact drug safety and therapy efficacy. Significant
efforts have been invested in analytical techniques for protein
aggregation detection. But all current techniques share a common
drawback; they all require opening the drug container and draw the
protein solution out for analysis, a process than renders the drug
product unusable even if the result is negative (i.e., no aggregation).
Prof. Yu's group at UMB has demonstrated that the water proton NMR
signal can be used to assess protein aggregation in situ
(e.g., Chem. Comm. 51, 6804, 2015).
This project applies water proton NMR to assess therapeutic
protein aggregation.
The project is collaboration between UMB and MedImmune of AstraZeneca;
Prof. Bruce Yu of UMB and Dr. Brian Lobo of MedImmune are the principal
investigators.
Background requirement: Ph.D. in NMR spectroscopy; familiarity with NMR
relaxometry and diffusometry is essential; experience in protein and
peptide chemistry is highly desirable.
Application Process: Send CV and a cover letter to Prof. Bruce Yu,
Director of Center for Nanobiotechnology, at byu_at_rx.umaryland.edu
