We have recently purchased a prodigy cryoprobe for our Avance II 500
system. We've finally received it for install in a few weeks and a
beginning to work out the details of the infrastructure requirements.
We are a bit perplexed by the manuals specifications requiring 40L/min at
140psi nitrogen gas flow which would seem to suggest we're going to be
blowing through 240L liquid dewars on a regular basis to maintain supply.
We do not have a house nitrogen system. I can't imagine our old house
nitrogen system being able to maintain that in any case.
What are those of you out there using to supply gas? Is this requirement
realistic? Any comments on this?
Thanks
