We are trying to find out from Agilent what their exchange policy is for returned boards. That is, if we buy and exchange board from Agilent and it doesn't solve the problem, and I send it back, what will I be charged? I asked this question to several people at Agilent, including the ordering people for the board, and no one at Agilent seems to know what their policy is. I've waited a week and a half and no response from the person who said they would find out.
Varian used to have a hefty "restocking fee" that was something like 40% of the exchange price. But now they are saying that Agilent "may have" a completely different policy.
Does anyone have recent experience with Agilent where a board was returned unused? I would like to know before shelling out $5K what is the risk.
