A while ago, there were discussion about using CD-R for data storage. We
recently installed a CD-R system on SGI's O2 with HyCD Publisher software from
Creative Digital Research. Initially, we were able to make few multi-session
recording on a CD. About a month ago, the multi-session recording stopped
functioning. If we recorded two sessions, the SGI's CDROM will only recognize
the data of second session. If we put the CD into a PC, it would see the file
system from the first session only. Our computer expert from Research
Computing spent hours try to get this multi-session recording working for me
without any success. Creative's Tech Support won't even talk to us unless we
sign up for the $500.00 annual maintenance contract.

If you use CD-R for data storage, were you able to do multi-session recording on
a SGI system? Which software were you using?

I will summarize the response and post it later.
