Due to a recent retirement of my NMR hardware expert/RF engineer, I need to
hire a replacement. However, unless I can show strong evidence of present
market salaries, FSU will allow me to offer a salary in the mid $20K range.
I am sure I will not be able to hire a qualified person at that salary. I
hope to convince the University that a salary of ~$60K is more appropriate.
So, I hope you will answer the following questions for me:
1. If you presently have an NMR hardware expert on your staff, what is
their salary?
2. Do you have service contracts for your instruments?
2a. If so, what is the cost?
3. If you do not have either, how do you cover the costs of instrument
repair and development?
If there is interest, I will share the results without revealing names or
locations.
If possible, I need this info by Friday 900 AM, Oct 17th.
