Very good input!
I assume that your linux "last" approach provides the log file (record the
log in /log out time) for your billing process. It is simple for the systems
with manually log in/ log out, while for those automation systems (say run
with icon nmr), if there is no sample to be submitted at midnight after
the last one is done, then the recorded instrument time for the last one
will be "much" longer. Will you manually correct it when you do the billing
process, or have any specific set up to resolve the issue?
