Resonators;

I will be retiring from UNM on 31 Oct 2022 (after 27 years plus). I
plan on attending both the (NMR)**2 meeting on the October 29th and ENC
at Asilomar in Spring 2023.

The University has posted the NMR Facility Director job. It can be
found by going to unmjobs.unm.edu and searching for Sr. Research
Scientist I Chemistry or the keyword nmr.

The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at the University of
New Mexico is looking for an NMR Facility Director. The Facility is
located in Clark Hall on the main campus in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
The Facility has 3 Bruker (Linux) spectrometers and has a liquid helium
capture and liquification system on order with delivery expected in
early 2023. A successful applicant will be expected to teach a
graduate class on NMR and to train users. Details about the
spectrometers can be found on the facility webpage nmr.unm.edu.

Please note that this is a staff position, and UNM does not do work
visas for staff hires.

Also- there is a copy/paste error from a Mass Spec Facility posting,
the person in this position is not expected to Prepare and analyze
small-molecule and macro-molecule samples.

I will be happy to talk to anyone interested in the job. You can talk to
me at (NMR)**2 next Saturday, or email my UNM email address (I will be
keeping it). You can also talk to me in person at ENC, but I hope the
position is filled by then.

kas
