Position Summary
Cabot Corporation is seeking an Associate Scientist for our Billerica Technical and Business Center NMR laboratory. The basic requirement is a BS or MS in chemistry/chemical engineering with good knowledge of organic, analytical, and/or physical chemistry. To be successful, the candidate needs to be able to perform quantification and structure elucidation via NMR, or be able to learn. The job will require some mechanical ability, an appreciation of electronics, and some simple wet chemistry separations. This position requires working as a team member within the analytical department and performing analyses for our R&D personnel. Preference will be given to those candidates that have a basic knowledge of liquid-state 1H and 13C NMR, good safety mindset, good organization skills and an interest in continuous learning.
