AMMRL: protection against power outages for cryoprobes

Hi all:

We have two LHe-cooled cryoprobes in our facility, and since their installation we've had UPS protection for the consoles and cryoplatforms that can stay up ca. 15 mins. We did not similarly protect the LHe compressors due to their high power requirements. This system has has worked well for us over the last few years. But we are now starting construction of a new building to be joined to our existing building. During the construction, the power will be shut off many times. I have been asked to look into the different types and costs of secondary power backup systems that could keep the cryoprobes up and running for long periods of time. Thought I'd ask here about what kinds of backups some of you must have (e.g., for pumped magnets):

- type of system
- array of equipment it protects
- approx cost of installation
- issues to be aware of

Thanks in advance for your help.
Charlie
