UNIVERSITY OF WYOMING, DEPARTMENT OF CHEMISTRY

NMR-FACILITY MANAGER POSITION

The Department of Chemistry at the University of Wyoming invites applications for the staff position of NMR-Facility Manager. The NMR facility serves more than 9 active chemistry research groups and consists of 3 NMR instruments ranging in field from 300 to 600 MHz. The NMR facility conducts a wide range of modern NMR experiments including standard small molecule identification, biological solution and solid state NMR, and microimaging and rheology. The NMR-Facility Manager will assist faculty and students in NMR data collection and interact extensively with these users, providing support and training. The essential duties are to assist in routine NMR data collection, answer user questions, provide NMR training, help with equipment maintenance (including cryogen fills and service of the air handling system), maintain a data archive and usage records, participate in the Chemistry Instrumentation Committee, and maintain a web page for the NMR Facility.
