I need to set up second computer running vnmr6, for processing offline from the NMR spectrometer, to improve utilization of a spectrometer which is shared between the synthetic chemists and the teaching labs. It’s been quick work to install solaris 9 and vnmr6.1C on an extra computer. But to be useful to students, we would like this second computer to access the same data files acquired on the spectrometer.
Can anyone share their experience – can we mount the spectrometer’s /export/home directory from the workstation? Is there a method to copy the data, that undergraduates can handle? Or is it easiest to set up a remote X session from the workstation, running vnmr on the spectrometer?
(will post a summary)

PS Tangentially, can anyone share or point me to a downloadable copy of the Solaris 9 patches (9_recommended.zip)?
