Senior Research Chemist (NMR Spectroscopist)
Job Description
This position will be the lead NMR expert providing training and advice on
key NMR techniques, theory, interpretation, innovation, troubleshooting,
etc.
Responsibilities will include serving on a variety of project teams as the
key analyst providing results and expert advice to accelerate new
product/technology,
development processes, and help resolve technical roadblocks and problems.
This position is also expected to conceive of and work on process
improvement opportunities as well as assigned improvement projects to
reduce turnaround time and cost and/or enhance quality and efficiency.
The Senior Research Chemist will work primarily in the laboratory
developing and implementing methodology, executing project strategy and
driving key projects to completion as well as training and mentoring other
chemists.
In addition to the required technical experience & education, the
successful
candidate will be safety focused with both technical and chemical
expertise. Good organization, communication, documentation and
interpersonal skills are a must. Outstanding leadership, team building
skills and a strong work ethic are also required along with analytical
instrument expertise and computer proficiency.
Required Experience
A Masters degree in Chemistry is required for this position, a PhD is
preferred.
Proven expertise in participating in and driving team-based projects to
completion is required. The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of
industrial experience as well as in-depth knowledge of NMR spectroscopy.
